Spring Greetings

Spring Greetings

Hello to you all. It has been a long time since I posted on my website but I am pleased to be back. A lot has happened, firstly my revamped website. I hope you all enjoy the new features. For those of you who have read my books, you can now leave reviews and feedback which I greatly value as an author.

It is the start of Spring here in West Gippsland although it is still quite cold and rainy most of the time. Great for writing not so great for riding horses and getting out in the garden but I am sure it won’t be long until we are enjoying some lovely, warm, sunny days.

This year I have published several new books including Rory Aqua Adventure Man, my first chapter book which is suitable for intermediate readers. I have also just released 2 horse books, Cody the Pony and the Cowboy Who Was Scared of Horses. I always said I would never write a horse book but with some persuasion I have done exactly that. Cody the Pony is about my own pony who I love dearly and got when he was an unbroken 2 1/2 year old. It is based on our journey as he was broken in and I began to ride but taken from a girl’s perspective. It is a story that I am incredibly proud of and I am thrilled to be able to combine my passion for horses and writing.

I’ve also released the second book in my Subterranea series, Jake, Lady Amaranth and the Nightly Shade which sees Jake return to the strange world of Subterranea to find his friend Sham who has gone missing. There are new places to see and new characters to meet including Lady Amaranth. This is a series which is released chapter by chapter and will suit children who enjoy adventure and imaginary places.

For fans of Xalien the Purple Alien, exciting news! Xalien the Purple Alien: Xalien Goes to the Beach is due for release later this year. This is one of my favorite Xalien tales as I adore the beach and Xalien is so much fun to write about.

Xalien the Purple Alien won a Purple Dragonfly Honorable Mention award this year which was a proud moment for me. The book has also won a bronze Bizziebaby award and a Story Monsters Approved award. It also featured on Storytime Pup’s YouTube show.

Xalien the Purple Alien: Xalien Goes to School won a Bizziebaby silver award.

My first collection of short stories, Phantasmagorical Phobias will be released on 31st of September just in time for Halloween.

Please don’t forget there are free Xalien coloring pages to download too! I hope to have more coloring pages in the future. I value comments and feedback so if you have a specific book you would like to have made into coloring pages please let me know.

Best wishes to you all and happy reading!

Michelle
